Drift Allstars Round 2 -Drift GP of Sweden promises to be one of the highlights of the season!
Fast flowing track, and what is probably the best lineup of top professional drivers ever to grace the championship.

So where is the Track.
Sturup Raceway is located just 15 minutes drive from malmo City on the south of Sweden and just 30minutes drive from Copenhagen the Capital of Denmark.

Off the line drivers are greeted with a blind crest!

Just after the blind crest drivers will have to have reached their peak speed before initiating

Downhill -Maximum lock, maximum speed

View from the bottom of the hill

A quick right hander before the left hand turn

A double apex bend with outside clip before you power out of the last corner

And transition around the artificial bend on the main straight

So the drivers who are the contenders?

The Contenders!
Nigel Colfer and Juha Rintanen return after round 1. Nigel and Juha both took top 8 finishes at round 1 can these contendeners for the championship get a grab and hold of the points standing?

The Teenage Sensation
Jack Shanahan returns after his awe inspiring drive at Round 1 in Poland.At 13 years old he is the hottest driver at the moment and the youngest professional driver int he world.Rumour he has some news about a new sponsor this weekend.

The Polish Invasion!
Polish legend Pawel Trela will debut his new livery under as part of the Nexen Tire Europe team on his Opel GT 2JZ. After a first event to forget, going out with two incidents during the top 32 at Plock, Trela will be back for vengeance in his new and nimble Opel GT.

The Budmat Auto RB team are also back in force. Piotr Więcek, one of the top ranking drivers in Poland at the moment, will be back to try and score big points. He qualified 3rd in Poland at Round 1, but went out early in the Top 32 against his team mate, Dawid Karkosik, who will also be present in his Budmat Auto RB Team Nissan S15. Artek Opiela will also join the team after placing top 16 at round 1.

The Stalwart.
Kenneth Moen, the stalwart of European drifting, has been on the scene since the sport’s humble beginnings in Europe. Now a formula drift regular and ranked 10th in the world, does Kenneth have the pace against Europe’s up and coming talent?

The Danish…
The Danish are coming in force. With the track just 10 minutes from the Danish border, some Danish are more familiar with this track than the Swedish.
The Jocks Bilimport pairing of Jacob Hogh Hansen and Jesper Strunge will be one to watch being their local track.

Niels Becker, in his Nokian Tyres JZX90 has been doing a great job so far in 2013 in the Polish PFD series, so it’s all the play for.

The Norwegians…
The 2012 Norwegian Powerdrift Champion, Ola Jaeger, will be out in force in his Japan Auto Toyota Supra.

Christer Halverson in his Gulf Oil Yokohama Tires Nissan S15 has been doing great this season and has been praised by his countrymen in Fomrula Drift!

The Swedish…
Johan Halverson in his Jspec.se Dotz racing 2JZ S15 has been one of the top drivers from Sweden in recent seasons and will of course be looking to do well in front of his home crowd. The Swedish Powerdirft Series has over 10 entries and with so many top drivers any one of them could mix it up.Also local driver Rasmus Moller in the TPD 2JZ S14 is also one to watch

The Russians…
Felix Chitipakhovyan, 2011 Russian Drift Series Champion, and team mate, Max Tvardovskiy, in their Hell Energy, Maxxis Tires vehicles have been doing great this year. Felix is now driving the 2JZ Wisefab E46 and has stepped his game up another level.

Max, now running Wisefab all round on his amazing R34 Skyline, will also be one to watch. As the winner of the Drift Allstars/EEDC ROUND 5 in Hungary last year, he will surely be a contender.

The rest…
Eastern European front runner Kristaps Bluss has found new form in his freshly built LS7 BMW E46. Original Wisefab driver Janis Eglite, the Tandem Assassin, in his BMW will be also one to watch! Both Latvian drivers have found great form lately, showing numerous podiums in their local series.
