Alan Sinnot takes the win after a huge night at Malta

Drift Allstars European series would make its return to the Island of Malta in the mediterranean billed as one of the biggest events of the season this again it showcases the biggest professional drift event in southern Europe .
This new custom venue built especially for this event would again showcase great circuits for fans and drivers and with it ending on late Sunday night the event and setting was set for a major battle.

With record attendance again and maximum capacity at the venue the stage was set. Championship Leader Alan Sinnot had a tough week getting his car running right and setup after mechanical gremlins from Hungary. Nigel Colfer and Juha Rintanen both finding it hard under the heat of Malta.

Spanish Champion Lluis Lopez was on the form of his life from the start of the weekend nailing perfect line slap after lap in his V8 powered Nissan S14. Lopez would take P1 after another amazing run nearly taking full points!

Juha Rintanen championship contender would take P2 trying to get as many points back of Championship leader Alan Sinnot who would take P3.

Nigel Colfer in the Marangoni tires would close out the top 4 in a steady run. Top Maltese Pro driver Shawn Spitteri would again show great form again being the top Local driver and take P5.

First of the big upsets in the battles was Juha Rintanen knocking out his own championship chances with a spin in the great 8 against Martin Richards.

When it came to the battles all 3 drivers easily progressed through their first battles in the top 16 with master class displays against the local drivers. Lluis Lopez would first come up against Championship Rival to Alan Nigel Colfer and with two very close battles and a one more time Lluis would take the win knocking out the second championship rival for Alan .

With Alan Sinnot beating martin Richards and progressing to the final it would mean an all NEXEN Tire Europe final,
Lluis Lopez would lead Against Alan (Spanish Champion Vs Irish Champion) Lopez would leave down another fast run but Sinnot wanted his second win off the season and shadowed Lopez around the full run. In the second run Sinnot would lead but Lopez charging hard again would just enter too fast when chasing and nearly collided having to win an giving the win to Sinnot.
