The 2015 Drift Allstars Championship will make its second stop of the series at the Eskilstuna Motorsport arena, just 100km West of Swedens capital, Stockholm.

The venue has been work in progress over the years, but is now successfully completed, with a custom unique drift layout that promises to test all 40 European drivers to the highest level this weekend.

This will also be the first season that we will be running a drivers search; 20 drivers from Sweden will be fighting for the final 10 spaces on the international grid. The grid is made up of 30 drivers from 12 different countries, some of whom are national champions wanting to get their title chances back on the board.

Luke Fink will miss Sweden due to sponsor commitments, but will return with a vengeance in time for Riga. With the allowance of a drop score, he will need to capitalise on the final four events.

Janis Eglite will arrive fresh from placing second in London and will be hungry for his first win of the season. He is showing some great form in his new partnership with Tri-Ace tyres. The tandem assassin just fitted a new Samsonas 5 speed and had some big setup changes since Round 1

James Deane has had a busy few weeks since storming to 3rd place at the season opener and debuting under the newly established drifting category at the Festival of Speed last week. He will be determined to get some points back and claim the win with a flawless display, like he did in Sweden last year.

Juha Poytalaakso will be keen to continue his form after a strong 4th place finish at the Eskilstuna circuit, where his skill and speed served him well.We will see if the Finnish driver will take his first podium or win, as his fellow compatriot, Juha Rinanten did at the Swedish Drift GP back in 2013.

The local drivers will be led by Swedish Champion, Fredrik Sjodin, who has developed a new car during the off-season with the aim to now challenge Europes elite. Fredrik has always been one of the top qualifiers and will have several other top local drivers rivalling him for both the victory and local honour. Alexander Grandlund, also returning with a new car and even more power, will bekeen to step on the podium after a 4th place finish last season at the Swedish drift GP

Fredrik Okksnevad will be looking to go one better than his 2nd place of 2014 and make his mark in 2015. Joachim Waagaard will make his competition debut, showcasing his 2015 BMW 4 series and after drifting at the Festival of Speed last week. He will be keen to assert his presence with his new chassis works. Ismail Salaih returns for his 3rd year at the Swedish Drift GP and has slowly been increasing his campaign with new sponsors and Maxxis tires. We think he will be one to watch.

Jarmo Luht and Kristjan Klemets from Team Ghost/Stilh racing will be looking to make an explosive start after ending the 2014 season on such strong terms. The team will be keen to establish their presence and challenge the best of Europe this season.

Jacob Høgh Hansen and the Jocks Bilimport team are one to watch this season. Returning with their monster 2JZ 800HP Nissan S15, the team will be eager to impress the crowds whilst battling for those all-important points.

Eastern European drifter and stalwart of the drift scene, Roman Kolesar, will descend on the track with his Zestino tyre team. The off-season has seen him rebuild his 800hp BMW E46, which he will be more than ready to unleash on the custom Eskilstuna circuit.

From the USA we have Pro 2 Formula D driver, Kelsey Rowlings, who has teamed up with the Swedish Team LMR Drift Alliance. Tipped to be the top female to compete in the sport in North America, it will be good to see her belong with the team and drivers.

Niall Gunn, founder and managing director of Drift Allstars commented, This is the third time we have come to Sweden for the biggest drift event in Scandinavia. In three short years we have seen the sport massively evolve but also, the drivers embrace competitive drifting and want to challenge the best drivers across the complete series, which is great to see. I expect to see some big upsets this weekend on thtrack, which should create a great atmosphere.
