EXTREME Drift Allstars 2014 wraps up a record-breaking Series
Social Media fan figures increase by 900%

London, UK – The final chapter in what was the most successful Extreme Drift Allstars European season ever, was written at the Drift GP of Lithuania this past weekend. The world’s greatest drivers fought it out for the title which was eventually taken by Ireland’s James Deane. Held on a custom-built street course in Kaunas, Lithuania, the event attracted a capacity crowd and was broadcast to tens of thousands more fans worldwide via livestream.

“Across the board we have achieved huge success this year,” commented Niall Gunn, Drift Allstars Founder. “We now look to build on this, our greatest season ever, as we prepare for the highly anticipated 2015 Extreme Drift Allstars season. Next year we’re bringing a true Allstar line-up of drivers to some of the most iconic venues.”

During the 2014 season, overall live attendance was up 30% YOY, with a combined season attendance of 50,000+ fans. Exhibition & demonstration events, which saw the series visiting new countries including Crete & Greece, saw combined audiences of well over 200,000 fans.

Drift Allstars social media saw record growth in 2014 with the Series facebook fan page growing to over 1.15 million fans, an incredible 900% increase on 2013 figures. This makes Drift Allstars the most-followed motorsport on social media in the UK, the second most- followed professional drift series in the world, and the number one in Europe. Similarly, our Twitter following also saw a 250% increase, with fans from across the world over signing up to receive up to the minute updates & images live from events.

Drift Allstars website saw further success, peaking at 20,000 unique viewers, with
the most popular times being immediately pre- and post-event.

Drift Allstars popular livestream broadcasts also boosted numbers of fans getting a piece of the action, with a 50% rise in viewing figures from 2013. An average of 15,000 fans around the world tuned in to each event, with a culmination of an incredible 30,000 viewers during the finals in Lithuania.

Drift Allstars media team had their work cut out for them this year with their multiple highlights videos, track previews & viral edits (at least four per event) being viewed in excess of 400,000 fans per event this year, which is an increase of over 200% on 2013.

Later this Autumn, Drift Allstars will also be airing directly into the front rooms of fans across the world in the form of 8 x Drift Allstars TV show episodes, to be seen on BT Sport, EXTREME TV Channel and in over 40 countries around the world.

The enthusiasm of our international fans, drivers and series partners has been unparalleled this year, and we have responded by giving them an increased number of bigger and better events across mainland Europe in 2015. With drivers competing from over 14 different nationalities and yet more countries wanting to be associated with the Drift Allstars brand, 2015 is set to be a record-breaking year for professional drifting.
