Drift Allstars Round 1 -Day 1

First casualty was Dan Chapman in the LBD Achilles Tires Nissan PS13 V8. After the team working tirelessly, technical problems with the engine on Thursday night after a Dyno session would prove the end to their weekend.
Will we see Dan in a backup car for today’s main event?

Next up was the 2011 Champion James Deane in his Full stop /Falken Tire Mazda Rx7. Info from his team informed us that an engine failure had occurred in the second practice session. Overnight work by the team proved unsuccessful meaning his RX7 will not be competing in this round.

Spanish Champion Lluis Lopez had an incident with the wall in practice but is all okay for the main show today. Lopez had an engine failure in his New Nexen Tire Nissan S14 V8 and was forced to use his spare car this weekend, so the young Spanish driver is really up against it

2010 Champion Luke Fink’s Gasoline for Humans Nissan S15 car turned up late for the practice session, will the Australian have enough time to setup his new Nissan S15?

Jacob Hansen and Todor Dunev both missed the deadline for the round 1 event after running over schedule with there off season rebuilds. We look forward to seeing the top Danish and Bulgarians drivers at round 2.

Fastest in free Practice was Juha Rintanen in his Monster Achilles Tires Nissan S14 clocking fastest through the speed trap at 92km/h quite the speed in this small track. Rintanen carried over his speed to the wet practice session showing that he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Nigel Colfer’s new Marangoni Tire Nissan S13 was also one of the fastest, showing the Irish man will be going for honours this season.

Alan Sinnot in his New SR20 powered Corrola seemed to love the conditions and track, he also will be going for top honours. MG Crash repairs
