PRESS RELEASE – Aerokit S14.5 2012 Drift Spec

Aerokit will be building a drift vehicle for competition entry to Europe’s Premier Drift event, Drift All stars. One of the UK’s hottest drivers, Pete Barber has been signed to compete in the car for this season. Main partners for the 2012 season are Toyo, Tegiwa Imports, Rota, BC Coilovers and Cars paint supplies.

The car will feature the Aerokit D Spec S14.5 Conversion kit, the main highlight will be the incorporation of 100mm wider arches on both sides at the rear. The car will be running BC Coilovers, Rota Grid Drift Rims with Toyo R888 tyres. Tegiwa imports are supplying the finishing touches on the car whilst Cars paint supplies Dagenham have supplied all the paint supplies for the project.

Tim Lo added -We decided to build our own drift car this year because it seems ‘drift racing’ has finally found a firm stance in the world of motorsport. With television and live webcam coverage we believe that the sport is only moving in one direction, not sideways but forward. Aerokit’s market is Europe and what a perfect collaboration with a competition that also aims itself all across europe in Drift All stars. Venues such as Wembley and this year the O2 arena are hard to better and Aerokit have always been in attendance from the beginning, this year Aerokit are not only a presence but an official sponsor of the event and have our own vehicle competing. Looking forward to Drift Season 2012, good luck to all!
